Romanoff Industries in Toledo, OH seeks an Electric Motor Mechanic to repair and recondition AC/DC motors, assembling parts and using cranes/forklifts to move components safely.

You will perform meggering, hipot, rotor tests, balancing, and document results, while following safety guidelines and completing paperwork on time. A strong mechanical instinct and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude; you understand how things work and can figure out how to fix them.
• Physical strength and stamina for hands-on shop work, lifting, moving, and working with heavy equipment.
• Basic math skills and the ability to interpret measurements accurately.
• Willingness to learn and grow; we'll teach you the rest.
• High school diploma, GED, or vocational certification preferred.

Position Type: Full Time

Title: Electric Motor Mechanic — AC/DC Motor Repair & Reconditioning

Responsibilities

• Motor Repair & Reconditioning
  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble AC/DC electric motors and accessories to Romanoff's stringent quality standards.
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to safely position parts throughout the repair process.
  • Maintain all shop tools and equipment in proper working order; keep your workspace clean and organized to standard.
• Testing & Quality
  • Perform routine motor testing including: megging, surge/hipot testing, micrometer fits, single-phase rotor tests, growler tests, drop tests, bar-to-bar tests, and dynamic balancing.
  • Work in full accordance with all safety guidelines — every job, every time.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time for every order.

Qualifications

• Must Have
