Job summary

HECO Inc. in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking an Electric Motor Mechanic to dismantle and inspect large AC/DC motors, assemble and test them, and verify measurements with Meggers и other test equipment.

You will document readings in digital packets and ensure compliance with customer specs. The role reports to the Mechanic Team Leader and includes benefits such as health plans and retirement options.

Responsibilities

• Dismantling and inspecting AC and DC electric motors.
• Assembling and testing of AC and DC motors.
• Testing with meggers, low ohm meters, micrometers and test panels.
• Documenting readings and measurements in tablet-based packets.
• Adhering to customer requirements and specifications.
• Report to Mechanic Team Leader.

• 1. Dismantling and detailed inspecting AC and DC Electric motors, through 15,000HP and 13,800v.
• Assembly and Testing of AC and DC Electric motors.
• Test and check Electric motors using:- Meggers
• Low OHM Meters
• Micrometers
• AC/DC Test Panels
• Hi-Potential (HiPot) Tester
• Surge Comparison Tester
• Bar to Bar Tester
• Document and record all readings/measurements in tablet-based job packets.
• Adhere to all Customer requirements and specifications.
• This position reports to the Mechanic Team Leader.
