Job summary

You will teardown, rebuild, inspect, and service motors, bearings and related components, read technical drawings, and ensure safe, efficient shop operations. On-site teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience repairing industrial electric motors or rotating equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with bearings, shafts, seals, alignment and mechanical assembly.
• Comfortable using precision measuring tools and standard shop equipment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a repair team.
• Industrial motor shop, pump shop, refinery, manufacturing or heavy-equipment repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tear down and rebuild industrial electric motors.
• Inspect internal components and determine repair or replacement needs.
• Replace and service bearings, seals, shafts, fans, housings, and other mechanical components.
• Perform mechanical measurements and verify fit and tolerances.
• Reassemble motors and prepare equipment for testing.

• Work with pumps, gearboxes, generators, and other rotating equipment as needed.
• Read work orders, repair specifications, and technical drawings.
• Maintain a safe and organized shop environment.
