Job summary

Arc Boat Company seeks a Test Engineer to own component, assembly, and vehicle-level prototype testing for our electric marine platform. You will define test plans, build setups, instrument tests, and analyze data to drive issues to closure, collaborating with design and manufacturing engineers.

You will help establish Arc's test capability, drafting procedures from scratch and contributing to both development and production validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of experience developing and testing electromechanical products.
• Basic proficiency with CAD and FEA software packages, preferably NX.
• Strong grasp of fundamentals of electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Experience configuring and operating data acquisition systems and instrumentation, and post-test data processing.
• Experience running electromechanical system tests.
• Experience with development testing, design verification, qualification, or production validation.
• This is an active role that requires standing for a majority of the shift.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Own a subset of development and qualification testing for an electric boat (battery, powertrain, electrical, infotainment, software, etc.).
• Draft test procedures, instrumentation plans, schematics, and work instructions from scratch.
• Engineer test stands for development, qualification, and production testing, including shock, vibration, thermal, environmental, durability, and dynamometer tests.
• Configure and implement data acquisition systems for objective data collection.
• Collaborate with vehicle engineers to define and execute test campaigns.
• Work with test technicians to diagnose, report, and repair prototype issues.
• Perform bench tests in the lab and on-vehicle tests in the field.
• Travel up to 25%.
