Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited electrical lineworker program or line school is preferred.
• Valid state driver's license and CDL may be required for some classifications.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and remove overhead and underground electric distribution facilities, conductors, cables, transformers, fixtures, poles, structures, and related equipment.
• Perform line work on energized and de-energized electrical systems according to safety requirements and progression level.
• Assist with switching operations, sectionalizing activities, grounding procedures, and restoration efforts to ensure reliable electric service.
• Operate and maintain company equipment including trucks, aerial devices, digger derricks, line tools, and testing equipment.
• Inspect and maintain URD systems, transformers, regulator banks, and related electrical equipment.
• Adhere to safety practices including pole-top rescue, bucket-truck rescue, tagging procedures, and accident prevention.
