Job summary

Impellam Group is seeking an Engineering Technologist II to support electric distribution engineering activities, design and execute utility work orders, and interact with customers. You will perform field data collection, assist with residential and commercial service installations, and help develop distribution designs using DesignLite and related systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
• Experience in electric utility operations and distribution design is preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, maps and technical documents.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development and execution of electric distribution work orders.
• Perform field evaluations and collect data for design development.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, construction personnel and customers.
• Prepare construction and design packages per company standards.
• Provide cost estimates to customers when applicable.
