Job summary

Eversource seeks a Distribution Engineering Designer to plan, coordinate, and monitor complex overhead and underground electric distribution projects in the Northeast. You will drive design deliverables from concept through permitting and construction readiness, ensuring safety, compliance, and cost effectiveness.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, vendors, and permitting authorities, provide technical guidance, perform field verifications, manage resources and budgets, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or comparable field.
• Experience with distribution design and permitting processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage project design for distribution projects, tracking budget and schedule.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders for permitting and design readiness.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure safe, compliant designs.
• Perform field visits to verify conditions for accurate design development.
• Lead weekly planning meetings to coordinate project requirements.
