Job summary

Eversource in New Hampshire is seeking an Electric Distribution Designer to design and write projects for the Company’s electrical distribution system, coordinating with customers, engineers and schedulers to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires an associate degree in engineering or related field and on-the-job training, with duties spanning cost estimates, line extensions, GIS updates, and storm restoration assignments, all while upholding company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Electricity or similar.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training for Electric Distribution Designer 1 (~12 months) or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of electrical distribution systems and construction standards.
• Strong written and oral communication and computer skills.
• Must pass EEI Tech Test and understand joint-use agreements.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers, contractors, and officials to assess requirements.
• Design and write projects with details for scheduling and execution.
• Provide cost estimates and designs for new and upgraded services.
• Support budgeting and GIS map updates.
• Assist in training Electric Distribution Designers.
