Job summary

Ampirical Solutions LLC seeks a Field Distribution Specialist II to perform detailed field assessments and develop electric distribution layouts in line with company standards. You will collaborate with field crews, prepare construction packages, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

3+ years of related utility experience, GIS/AutoCAD proficiency, and a degree in engineering tech or drafting/design are preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years of electric distribution design or related utility experience.
Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, and design/drafting software. Experience with Futura staking software preferred.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering technology, drafting/design, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience accepted.

Responsibilities

Support field assessments and develop electric distribution layouts in accordance with company standards.
Create detailed construction packages with drawings, material specs, and supporting docs.
Collaborate with internal teams and field crews to clarify design intent and resolve issues.
Monitor project progress by updating schedules and preparing standard reports for internal review.
Ensure designs comply with safety standards, NESC, RUS guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Assist senior designers on reconductor and tie-line projects and contribute to documentation.
