Job summary

Top Tempo Technical is seeking a Field Service Technician – Electric Bus / High Voltage Electrical to support high-voltage systems on transit vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell tech. You will troubleshoot, install, and service electrical systems in the field, working directly with customers and cross-functional teams.

The role requires e-bus experience, 2+ years in electrical/HVAC, strong troubleshooting skills, blueprints, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

E-bus experience is required.
2+ years of experience in electrical, HVAC, or a related technical field.
Strong electrical troubleshooting experience, including electrical wiring, circuit testing, diagnostics, and repair.
Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of multiplex systems.
Ability to work from blueprints, process sheets, schematics, and technical instructions as required.
Solid customer service skills.
Valid driver's license.
PLC and ladder logic experience preferred.
High-voltage experience and hydrogen training or certification preferred.
General knowledge of transit bus, hybrid, and/or electric drive systems is ideal but not required.
Extensive travel is required.

Responsibilities

Work with advanced electric vehicle and hydrogen fuel cell technology, troubleshooting electronic, electrical, and some mechanical high-voltage issues.
Install electrical systems and components on transit vehicles.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and electrical equipment.
Repair or replace wiring, relays, motors, lighting, and other electrical components.
Identify and troubleshoot electrical problems using testing equipment including ammeters, voltmeters, multimeters, and cable testers.
Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers.
