Role Mission

IDEA Electives teachers instruct students in various subjects, including Fine Arts, Agriculture, Health, and Technology Applications. They ensure students master academic and social skills necessary for college success, embody IDEA’s values daily, set ambitious achievement goals, create engaging learning environments, plan rigorous instruction, assess mastery, analyze data to improve, and seek excellence as educators and team members.

What We Offer

Compensation

• Starting salary for 0 years of experience is $56,600, with stipends ranging from $500-$4,000 based on certifications and credentials. Opportunities for additional earnings include up to $10,000 through the Teacher Career Pathway.
• Additional hourly pay for after-school tutoring or Saturday school as assigned.

Qualifications

• High proficiency in content area with certification, field experience, or work background

Responsibilities

Implement standards and curricula, master relevant content, submit lesson plans, assess student progress, communicate with families, utilize technology, manage behavior, foster school culture, build relationships, host tutoring, participate in meetings, engage in ongoing professional development, and dedicate at least 40 hours weekly at school. Additional duties may include after-school or Saturday tutoring.
