Program Manager I

State of Connecticut Judicial Branch

The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking a Program Manager for its Legal Services Unit. With guidance from attorneys in the Legal Services Unit, this position will be primarily responsible for processing, documenting and responding to requests made pursuant to the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act and other information requests. The successful candidate will assist in litigation preparation and may be assigned other projects for the Legal Services Unit. Technological proficiency and experience in a legal setting, project management and working with members of the public are preferred, but not required. Strong organizational and time management skills are imperative.

Salary Range: $116,006 - $153,138/year plus State of Connecticut benefits. New employees begin at the minimum. The starting salary for existing state employees may be higher than the minimum, in accordance with existing Judicial Branch policy. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

General Experience: Nine years of professional experience in a broad range of functions related to assigned areas, including some responsibility for planning, research and statistical analysis, organizational analysis, or a related field.

Substitutions Allowed

• 1) College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours equaling one-half year of experience to a maximum of four years for a Bachelors degree.
• 2) A law degree or a master's degree in a related field may be substituted for one additional year of the General Experience.

Special Requirement

Incumbents may be required to travel in the course of their daily work.
