Job summary

University of Utah Health is seeking an experienced eLearning developer and instructional designer to design, build, and deliver multi-media training programs for leadership development and department initiatives.

The role requires creating curriculum, course materials, testing, and supporting online delivery across platforms, collaborating with teams to meet learning objectives and drive organizational culture change. Strong communication and project management skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Training and Development, Business, Communications, Education, or related field.
• 5–7 years of curriculum development, facilitation, and instructional design experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience filming and editing video productions (preferred).
• Experience creating and editing scripts and video concepts (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and implements web-based, multi-media development solutions using instructional methods best suited to content and learning needs.
• Develops curriculum, course material and assessment techniques that meet defined learning objectives.
• Supports design and implementation of projects.
• Provides subject matter support to appropriate areas.
• Collaborates with team members and internal clients to provide solutions for client needs.
• Provides technology support and program management in support of department initiatives.
• Reviews learning programs for potential online delivery and advises on redesign/enhancement of curriculum.
• Designs, develops and delivers training for leaders in support of leadership development initiatives.
• Facilitates learning via classroom, eLearning, blended learning and on-the-job coaching.
• Oversees development of testing scenarios, scripts, schedules, resources, and outcomes.
• Creates resources, tools, and other materials to support learning and drive culture change.
