Job summary

ABB in Mebane, NC seeks a hands-on manufacturing process professional to optimize cycles and support start-ups. You will train staff and share cycle time data with cross-functional teams, contributing to strong process documentation and supplier alignment.

With 2+ years in manufacturing, you will work onsite under the Technical Training Manager, facilitating maintenance planning, data analysis, and project execution to improve efficiency and output.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Data analysis and reporting skills are required.
  • Experience with project management and process optimization.
  • Understanding of maintenance planning and backlog management.
  • Familiarity with supplier relationships and supply chain concepts.
  • Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in sequence definition, cycle time calculation, and analysis of new production processes.
  • Shares cycle time data with internal teams.
  • Prepares documentation on process phases and cycle times.
  • Supports production during start-ups by training staff.
  • Ensures updated documentation is provided to SCM teams for supplier evaluations.
  • Participates in action plan definition and training during start-ups.

Reports to: Technical Training Manager

Work model for the role: Onsite, Mebane, NC

Responsibilities
  • Participates in the sequence definition, cycle time calculation, and analysis of the working phases of new production processes/products.
  • Shares cycle time data with internal teams.
  • Prepares technical documentation regarding the process phases, related methods, and cycle times.
  • Supports production during start-ups by training indirect and direct staff.
  • Ensures that updated process and technical documentation are provided to Supply Chain Management (SCM) teams to support supplier evaluations and proper supplier agreements.
  • Participates in the definition of action plans, training of relevant Maintenance and Production teams, and other support activities during the internal/external process and equipment start-up.
