Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a hands-on technical trainer to lead cycle-time analyses, document processes, and train staff during new production starts at onsite facilities in Mebane, NC. You will collaborate with Supply Chain and Maintenance teams to ensure accurate documentation and supplier readiness.

The role requires practical experience in manufacturing, data analysis, and project coordination, with a focus on process improvement and on-site training delivery.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to manage projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with planned maintenance and backlog management.
  • Experience with supplier relationship management and supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in sequence definition, cycle time calculation, and analysis of new production processes and products.
  • Shares cycle time data with internal teams.
  • Prepares technical documentation for process phases and cycle times.
  • Supports production during start-ups by training staff.
  • Ensures updated process and technical documentation is provided to SCM for supplier evaluations and agreements.
  • Participates in action plan definition and training for Maintenance and Production teams during start-ups.

Your role and responsibilities
  • Participates in the sequence definition, cycle time calculation, and analysis of the working phases of new production processes/products.
  • Shares cycle time data with internal teams.
  • Prepares technical documentation regarding the process phases, related methods, and cycle times.
  • Supports production during start-ups by training indirect and direct staff.
  • Ensures that updated process and technical documentation are provided to Supply Chain Management (SCM) teams to support supplier evaluations and proper supplier agreements.
  • Participates in the definition of action plans, training of relevant Maintenance and Production teams, and other support activities during the internal/external process and equipment start-up.
