Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Fall River, MA is seeking a Protective Services Worker to investigate elder abuse, assess risk, and coordinate service plans in line with Elder Affairs guidelines and agency policies.

Education: a Master’s or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, human development, nursing, or gerontology with one year of relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s with two years in protective or crisis intervention. Strong communication and crisis skills required.

Qualifications

• Master’s or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, human development, nursing or gerontology with at least one year of related experience.
• Or a Bachelor’s in social work, psychology, counseling, human development or gerontology with at least two years of protective or crisis intervention experience.
• Experience in protective services or crisis intervention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigates protective services reports and assesses risk with elder and collateral contacts.
• Develops service plans to reduce or alleviate abuse and monitors progress.
• Reports to the District Attorney’s office as required and coordinates referrals.
• Ensures after-hours access and emergency response as directed by supervision.
