Job summary

A well-established Atlanta law firm seeks an Estate Planning & Elder Law Attorney with at least 1 year of relevant experience to join its growing team.

You will meet with clients, draft documents, and provide practical estate planning and elder law solutions, while building lasting client relationships in a collaborative, client-centered environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Georgia, or ability to obtain admission promptly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing estate planning, elder law, probate, or a related practice area.
• Experience drafting estate planning documents and advising clients on estate planning strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Compassionate, client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to evaluate their estate planning and elder law needs.
• Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
• Advise clients regarding Medicaid planning, asset protection, and long-term care planning strategies.
• Assist clients with VA benefits planning and related elder law matters.
• Handle probate and trust administration matters as needed.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the planning process.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver outstanding legal representation.
• Stay current on changes in estate planning and elder law legislation.
