Job summary

San Diego Organizing Project is seeking a Program Specialist/Marketing Coordinator for Elder Fraud Prevention and Financial Stability to collaborate with the Manager, SDSCF team, volunteers, and community partners on expanding multi-market initiatives protecting older adults from financial exploitation, fraud, and abuse.

You will organize events, schedule sessions, coordinate with officials and partners to bring resources and attendees, and create impactful outreach materials.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of issues impacting older adults, including financial vulnerability and exploitation.
• Proven experience leading multi-site or national programs with measurable outcomes.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
• Proven convener, able to coordinate stakeholders, recruit volunteers and facilitate event attendance.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills; external communications.
• Ability to build systems and operational infrastructure.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic vision and program oversight for Elder Fraud Protection and Financial Stability.
• Create flyers and social media posts for marketing and outreach.
• Coordinate venues, presenters, and partners for events; ensure ADA compliance and interpreters as needed.
• Serve as a spokesperson in media appearances and public engagements.
• Develop cross-sector partnerships and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Support grant strategies, proposals, funder engagement, and compliance.
• Lead narrative and data-driven reports for funders and boards.
