Job summary

The Center for Elders’ Independence is a PACE organization delivering integrated health care services to the elderly, including an Adult Day Health Center, with a focus on autonomy and quality of life. The Activity Aide supports the Activity Coordinator in providing meaningful recreational activities, assisting with day center operations, and ensuring participant needs are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work in a diverse, interdisciplinary setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Current CPR certification and First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Lead individual and group recreational activities such as art, music, crafts, discussions, and outings.
• Assist in developing meaningful activity programs with the Coordinator.
• Support daily operation of activity programs.
• Assist with documentation and provide coverage for the Coordinator.
• Conduct participant assessments as needed with CPR/Leadership cert.
• Maintain supplies and a neat activity area.
