Job summary

DSST Public Schools is seeking an English Language Development (ELD) Teacher for middle and high school positions across multiple campuses in Denver and Aurora, Colorado. The role focuses on co-teaching with content-area teachers to integrate language development into rigorous instruction, supporting multilingual learners to access grade-level content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Demonstrated content knowledge meeting applicable in-field qualifications.
• Strong commitment to educational equity and culturally responsive instruction.
• Experience with co-teaching, differentiation, or small-group language development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, language-rich instruction across approximately 3–5 classes daily.
• Plan and co-plan language development with content-area teachers.
• Collaborate with student support teams to differentiate instruction and interventions.
• Monitor student growth using assessments and data to guide instruction.
• Foster an inclusive classroom culture that values linguistic and cultural identities.
