DSST Public Schools in Colorado is seeking an English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher for middle through high school, based at multiple Denver/Aurora campuses. The role offers a competitive salary ($60,000–$78,000) with relocation stipend and benefits for a full-time, in-person position starting late July 2027.

You will deliver rigorous ELA instruction using Novel ELA resources, lead text-based discussions, and foster critical thinking, writing, and literacy growth for diverse learners.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Colorado teaching credential preferred but not required for most opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of literature, writing instruction, and standards-aligned literacy practices.
• Experience facilitating close reading, text-based discussion, and analytical writing.
• Experience differentiating instruction and using student work to support growth.
• Experience supporting students from diverse backgrounds, including multilingual learners.

Mansioni

• Deliver rigorous ELA instruction to approximately 3–5 classes daily using shared curriculum and culturally responsive practices.
• Develop critical readers and writers through close reading, text-based discussion, and evidence-based writing.
• Prepare and respond to student thinking with exemplars, anticipate interpretations, and provide targeted feedback to deepen understanding.
• Support student growth by differentiating instruction and using assessments and student work.
• Build a positive classroom culture that is inclusive and encourages diverse perspectives.
