Job summary

Watkins Mill Elementary School in Montgomery Village is seeking an ELD educator to plan and provide English language development instruction for students identified for ELD services. Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of second language teaching/learning methods.
• Fluency in another language preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan for and provide English language development (ELD) instruction for students eligible for ELD services.
• Collaborate with administrators, counselors, teachers and other school staff about Emergent Multilingual Learner (EML) students and their needs.
• Explain the ELD instructional program to parents; serve as a resource for students, parents, staff and community as needed.
