Job summary

Graywolf Integrated Construction is seeking a traveling ELC QA/QC Inspector in Sealy, TX to perform quality inspections on welding, piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boilers, painting and coatings, and structural steel on heavy industrial projects.

The role requires reading and interpreting codes (ASME, NBIC, API, AWS, ACI, AISC, etc.), familiarity with NDT methods, subcontractor assessments, and documentation management, with on-site responsibilities and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of formal training and experience in heavy industrial projects such as refineries, petro-chemical complexes, power plants, etc. Pulp and Paper preferred.
• Experience in understanding WPSs, PQRs, and WPQs
• Ability to effectively interact with project team members, clients, subcontractors and craft employees.
• Mustbe capable ofobtainingorpossessinspectionlicensesand/orcertificationsasrequired.
• Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions as required by client and/or facility policy
• Must be able to communicate and document via company web mail programs
• Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.

Responsibilities

• Quality inspections regarding welding and welder's certifications, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and boilers, piping, mechanical equipment, painting and coatings, structural steel and fabricated materials.
• All other duties as normally required by our QA/QC Department, and as required by day-to-day business

The QA/QC Inspector role providesqualityinspectionsregardingweldingandwelder'scertifications,pressurevessels,heat exchangers and boilers, piping, mechanical equipment, painting and coatings, structural steel and fabricated materials.

• Experience or working of the following codes; ASME B&PV, ASME B31.1 and B31.3, NBIC,API, AWS, ACI, AISC, RCSC and others as determined by job requirements. Ability to read and interpret various codes, standards and specifications.
• Familiarity, experience, or previous training and certification in Liquid Penetrant testing, Magnetic Particle testing, Ultrasonic testing, and radiography. Inspector has responsibility for the performance and scheduling of all inspection and testing activities as defined by contract. Willingness to attend training and acquire additional training and certifications as required.
• Assesssub-contractors'capabilitiestomeetthequalityrequirementsoftheprojectasrequired.
• Assurethatthecontractobligations'fortestingandrecordkeepingareadheredto.
• Controlcalibratedmeasuringandtestequipmentusedontheproject.
• Keepcalibrationrecordsandensurethatalltestingequipmenthascurrentcalibrationrecords.
• Ensureproperturnoverofcompletequalitycontrolpackage(s).Responsibleforensuringthatturnoverdocumentationismaintained,organizedandturnedoveronschedule and scanned into the database.
• Maintain project quality records for the construction phase of the project and quality audit plans, performance and management thereof.
• Performevaluationsofsub-contractors'facilitiestodeterminetheircapabilitiesinmeetingthequalityrequirements.
• ConductperiodicQualityProgram training and coaching forsitesupervisorypersonnel.

• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.

• Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outsideconditions.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, andscaffolds.
