Job summary

GrayWolf Integrated Construction Company in Hallsville, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Site QA/QC Manager to ensure products and services meet client requirements and company standards. The role requires a strong background in ASME B&PV Codes, including Sections I, VIII-1, IX B31.1 and B31.3, and experience with Welding Procedures and WPQ.

The candidate will plan QA/QC activities, maintain ITPs, witness welds, track NCRs, and report to stakeholders on quality performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a QA/QC Inspector, preferred at least 1 year as QC Manager.
• CWI required
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret work plans and use inventory tracking software
• Strong understanding of US based construction methods, field operations, and scheduling best practices.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Promotes, trains, encourages, and otherwise ensures adherence to the QMS as well as applicable Codes and Standards.
• Ensures all QA/QC requirements are met and are fully in compliance.
• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP), schedule field or laboratory tests, and witness concrete pours, structural welds, and equipment settings.
• Track and forecast labor requirements and resource usage throughout the project lifecycle.
• Write daily quality control reports, track submittals, and maintain audit-ready material certification files.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports (NCRs) alongside superintendents and engineers of record when work fails to meet standards
• Provide accurate, timely reporting to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Participation safety program, attending safety meetings and other related activities as required.
• Must be able to work variable hours as needed including weekends and holidays.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary:

GrayWolf is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Site QA/QC Managerto ensure thorough testing, so all products and services meet client requirements and company standards. QA QC Managers must possess a strong background in the ASME B&PV Codes, including but not limited to Sections I, VIII-1, IX B31.1 and B31.3. Candidate must possess a strong background in the development, implementation, and understanding of ASME Welding Procedures (WPS) and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ).

Essential Functions

• Planning duties within the QA/QC group to execute QA/QC activities.

• Write daily quality control reports, track submittals, and maintain audit-ready material certification files.

• Participation safety program, attending safety meetings and other related activities as required.

• Must be flexible with day-to-day duties and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in O365 – Sharepoint, Teams, Excel and MS Project
• Knowledge of B31.1. B31.3 code is required

Physical/Site Requirements:

• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with age.
• Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
• PPE footwear/prescription safety glasses or eye shields required. This job site requires long sleeves
