The ideal candidate brings deep Elasticsearch expertise, strong SQL skills, and experience with AWS, Kibana, NiFi, and containerized deployments. A DoD Secret Clearance is required, with mentorship responsibilities and leadership within SAFe teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field; experience may substitute.
• 6+ years progressive engineering with 2+ years Elasticsearch hands-on work.
• Expert-level Elasticsearch internals, tuning, and snapshot management.
• Advanced Kibana analytics, scripted fields, alerting, observability.
• Strong SQL/PLSQL with Oracle or PostgreSQL; AWS S3/RDS/EKS experience.
• Willing to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize Elasticsearch clusters, indexes, and data models at scale.
• Develop dashboards, scripted queries, alerting, and analytics in Kibana.
• Lead data ingestion and extraction workflows with Apache NiFi.
• Oversee performance, health, and observability of distributed clusters.
• Provide technical leadership within SAFe teams and guide architecture decisions.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and migration best practices.
• Draft upgrade roadmaps and assess impact on APIs and integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for safe platform adoption.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish engineering standards.
• Develop long-term technical roadmaps aligned with mission needs.
