Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Consulting Architect to deliver Elastic solutions for government and commercial clients. You will guide strategy, architecture design, and capacity planning in mission-critical environments, working with a remote, distributed team with periodic on-site engagements.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in client-facing consulting or instruction, 5+ years in related engineering roles, and deep knowledge of Elasticsearch, Linux/Unix/Windows, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in client-facing consulting or instruction roles.
• Experience capturing requirements and delivering technical solutions.
• 5+ years in systems engineering, networking, or cloud engineering roles.
• Proficiency with Elasticsearch or similar distributed data tech.
• Strong Linux/Unix/Windows knowledge and CLI proficiency.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Programming experience in at least one language (Java, Python, JavaScript, Ruby).
• Experience with databases including SQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, MongoDB or similar NoSQL tech.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new Elastic technologies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and oversee Elastic consulting engagements (remote/on-site).
• Architect and implement Elastic solutions focusing on platform architecture and capacity planning.
• Build customer relationships and advocate for customer value.
• Develop demos and proofs-of-concept demonstrating Elastic Stack value.
• Conduct data modeling, query development, optimization, and cluster tuning.
• Collaborate with other consultants to solve complex technical challenges.
• Review technical consulting reports and recommendations.
• Mentor consultants and participate in enablement programs and interviews.
