Job summary

Nightwing Technologies, LLC seeks an Elastic Engineer to join a distributed team supporting elastic data pipelines and ELK deployments for federal and commercial customers. The role emphasizes data onboarding, development, configuration, troubleshooting, reporting, and visualizations.

Required background includes 6+ years in software development, 2+ years with ECK and Elasticsearch DSL, plus 5+ years in Kubernetes. DoD 8570/IAT familiarity and related certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is a must.
• Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility desired.
• DHS Suitability must be obtainable.
• Minimum 6+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years as ECK admin or equivalent.
• 2+ years with Elasticsearch DSL.
• 5+ years of Kubernetes experience.
• Strong ELK stack knowledge and hands-on skills.
• Scripting in JavaScript, Python or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Build data pipelines to ingest external datasets into Elastic products.
• Design, deploy, and maintain ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Install and configure ELK components.
• Use Elastic APIs, dashboards, and Beats for visualization and monitoring.
• Create or integrate ELK plug-ins for auth/authorization.
• Integrate ELK with enterprise tools and APIs.
• Develop complex use cases using Python, Groovy, Bash.
• Utilize Kubernetes and ELK monitoring tools.
