Job summary

Nightwing seeks an Elastic Engineer to join a distributed team focused on building and optimizing an ELK-based data platform. You will own data pipelines, implement dashboards, and ensure secure integration across enterprise tools.

The role requires strong Elastic engineering capabilities, hands-on Kubernetes experience, and the ability to work with sensitive government-related data in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Must obtain DHS Suitability.
• 6+ years of directly relevant software development experience.
• At least 2 years of experience as an Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK) admin or equivalent role.
• At least 2 years of experience with Elasticsearch DSL.
• At least 5 years of experience with Kubernetes architecture.
• Strong knowledge of ELK stack.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Bash, etc.

Responsibilities

• Build data pipelines to ingest external datasets into Elastic products.
• Design, deploy, maintain, and enhance the Elastic Logstash Kibana (ELK) platform.
• Install and configure ELK.
• Use Elastic search indices, Elastic search APIs, Kibana dashboards, Log Stash and Beats.
• Use or create plug-ins for ELK like authentication and authorization plug-ins.
• Integrate ELK with enterprise tools and APIs for authentication/authorization.
• Design and implement complex development use cases with Python, Groovy, and Bash.
• Use Elastic Search Cluster Monitoring Tools.
