Job summary

American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for an EL Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year at the Radiance Elementary campus in East Valley. Candidates must possess or be willing to obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and hold an Arizona Teaching Certificate with ESL Endorsement.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the EL Coordinator, evaluating student progress, and implementing EL support services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Elementary Education or related field.
• Arizona ESL endorsement/teaching certificate required.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with EL Coordinator to maintain and improve the district ELL plan and program.
• Evaluate student achievement and tailor provisions to meet learning needs.
• Analyze and evaluate student progress and curriculum.
• Participate in EL team meetings.
• Implement co-teaching, pull-out, and push-in support for EL students as appropriate.
• Assist with testing EL students for language proficiency per state guidelines.
• Communicate with parents about evaluation methods, student progress and activities.
• Coordinate with School Administration on student progress and SEI model implementation.
• Design lessons aligned with English Proficiency standards for grade level and proficiency band.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field

American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for an EL Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year for our Radiance Elementary campus located in the East Valley. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Collaborate with the EL Coordinator to maintain, evaluate, and improve the district ELL plan and program.
• Evaluate the performance of students regarding achievement in curriculum and activities; makes necessary provisions to meet learning needs.
• Analyze and evaluate student progress and course curriculum.
• Participate in EL team meetings.
• Implement co-teaching, pull-out, and push-in support services for EL students as appropriate.
• Assist with testing EL students for language proficiency in accordance with state guidelines.
• Communicate with parents of EL students to ensure they are informed of methods of evaluation utilized in the classroom, student success, school activities, and instructional methods.
• Communicate and collaborate with School Administration regarding student progress and implementation of SEI model.
• Design lessons based on the English Language Proficiency standards appropriate to student grade level and proficiency band.
• Other duties as assigned.
