Job summary

Lexington Health, Inc. is seeking an EKG Technician to perform clinical/technical duties including EKGs, Holter and event monitoring, and stress testing. You will report results to appropriate staff and ensure timely documentation in patient records.

The role requires completion of an approved EKG training program, CPR certification, and familiarity with medical terminology. Candidates should be prepared to respond to emergencies and work with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CPR certified or certified within 3 months after employment.
• Completion of recognized EKG training program.
• Familiar with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence to provide developmentally appropriate care/treatment for patients from infant to geriatric.
• Performs and provides follow-up for Adult and Pediatric EKGs.
• Performs Stress Testing, Holter hookup and device interrogation.
• Processes and ensures EKGs are completed and transmitted to medical records.
• Recognizes and reports changes from previous EKG tracings and life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Responds to Maydays and Rapid Responses with 12-lead tracing and rhythm strips.
• Beepers/cell phone on call and respond promptly.
