Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital is seeking an EKG Technician for part-time evening shifts in Royal Oak, MI. The role involves performing electrocardiograms across multiple settings, maintaining equipment, and handling related clerical tasks in EPIC.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, completes an EKG training program, and may have six months of EKG experience. Basic Life Support is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform Electrocardiograms in various settings (outpatient, Emergency Department, and in-house locations).
• Maintain EKG equipment and ensure adequate inventory for efficient operation.
• Perform clerical duties including computer entry, filing, recording, and mailing reports.
• Complete all test orders in EPIC to ensure proper charges are processed.

PART TIME-EVENINGS About Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 Corewell Health doctors on faculty.

Scope of Work

Performs Electrocardiograms in a variety of settings, which could include outpatient, the Emergency Department, and all in-house locations. Maintains equipment. Will maintain sufficient inventory to efficiently operate the EKG services. Performs clerical duties such as computer entry, filing, recording, and mailing and reports as needed. Completes all test orders in EPIC to ensure appropriate charges are processed.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or Equivalent. Completion of EKG training, either an exclusive EKG training program or as part of other educational programs. Prior work experience that included performing EKGs may be considered as fulfillment of this requirement. Six months of experience as an EKG technician, preferred. American Heart Association Basic Life Support required. Light typing. Knowledge of normal and abnormal EKG data.
