Job summary

SHERMAN KAHAN, M.D., P.A. in Maryland seeks an EKG Technician to support cardiac imaging and stress testing within our clinical team. The role involves hands-on EKG work, monitor interpretation, lead placement, and vital-sign checks during exercise under supervision.

You will perform and assist with cardiac stress tests, monitor telemetry, and help manage Holter and event monitors, as well as pacemaker/defibrillator alerts, with a Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to read EKGs during stress tests and identify changes or arrhythmias.
• Ability to read monitors and differentiate rhythms.
• Ability to hook up EKG leads for stress tests and monitors.
• Ability to take blood pressures during stress tests and read real-time heart rates on EKG during exercise.

Responsibilities

• EKG Technician will perform and assist with cardiac stress tests.
• This position aids in nuclear stress test administration, performs exercise treadmill tolerance tests, assists in stress echocardiograms and manages holter, event and MCT monitors.
• This person will also help monitor our pacemaker and defibrillator home monitor alerts.

• Candidates should be able to read EKG's during stress tests and identify EKG changes or arrhythmias.
• Candidates should be able to read monitors and differentiate normal sinus rhythm, arrhythmias, and ectopic beats.
• Candidates should be able to hook up EKG leads for stress tests and monitors.
• Candidates should be able to take blood pressures during stress tests and be able to read real time heart rates on EKG during exercise.

Monday-Friday; 8:30am-5:00pm
