Job summary

Nicklaushealth is seeking a Cardiographic Technician to operate ECG and Holter monitoring equipment, record heart activity, and support stress testing. You will prepare preliminary reports, ensure instrument readiness, and assist physicians with diagnostic procedures.

Ideal candidates have CCI registration, AHA BLS certification, and 1–2 years of relevant experience, plus strong patient communication and confidentiality.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Recognizes arrhythmias and reports them promptly to the physicians and clinicians.
• Scans Holter monitors and prepares preliminary report for physicians.
• Ensures adequate inventory of EKG, Holter, and stress equipment.
• Explains examination procedure and reassures patient and family to ensure comfort, understanding, and cooperation.
• Maintains equipment in good working condition and reports malfunctions to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Performs EKG, Holter monitoring, and exercise (stress) tests accurately and following department policies and procedures.
• Performs inventory, stocks, cleans, and assists with special projects that result in department quality improvements.
• Presents/reports service data and test results for continuous quality improvement initiatives on a monthly basis.
• Complies with all hospital safety regulations and infection control policies.

Job Summary:

Operates electrocardiograph (ECG or EKG) equipment to record electric variations and impulses of the heart for use in the diagnosis of heart disorders. Places Holter monitors (24-hour ECG recordings), scans Holter monitors and provides a preliminary result to physicians, and assists with exercise (stress) testing.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Certified Cardiographic Technician or other advanced training and registry via CCI - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment.
• Experience in the use of ECG and/or Holter and stress test equipment.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment.
