Job summary

AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking a PRN EKG Technician to support our care teams. You will perform EKGs, maintain equipment, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure accurate orders and excellent patient service.

Requires strong communication and independence in a day-time shift environment. Qualifications include an Associate degree (or HS diploma) and BLS certification; EKG tech certification is preferred.

• EKG recognition/interpretation required.
• Ability to operate essential equipment efficiently.
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Certificate in EKG technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with team to ensure smooth operations.
• Checks practitioner orders for accuracy and clarifies as needed.
• Provides excellent customer service and ensures effective communication among caregivers.
• Performs EKGs accurately and maintains equipment.
• Completes daily/weekly/monthly tasks promptly; maintains professional interactions.
• Ensures timely and accurate documentation of all tasks and procedures.

Job Description:

• Shift: PRN - Saturdays 11 to 1930 which occasional opportunities to pick up other shifts.

• Collaborates with team members to ensure smooth operations. Checks practitioner orders for accuracy and clarifies with offices, floors, or physicians as needed.

• Provides excellent customer service and ensures effective communication among all caregivers.

• Performs EKGs accurately and efficiently. Maintains all equipment in proper working order.

• Completes delegated daily, weekly, and monthly tasks promptly. Interacts with patients and staff in a professional and courteous manner.

• Ensures timely and accurate documentation of all tasks and procedures.
