Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking an EKG Technician to join our Cardiovascular Services team on a PRN/per diem basis. The role performs standard EKGs, EEGs, Holter monitoring, stress testing and non-invasive vascular procedures, while maintaining records and providing direct patient care across ages.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a 16-hour EKG course within 90 days, and 1 year of hospital experience preferred.

• BLS certification required.
• Must lift/carry 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Interprets Rhythms and Arrhythmias.
• Reports all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff.
• Maintains Telemetry supplies and equipment.
• Records patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Performs duties with full understanding of related age specific factors.
• Orients and mentors new staff members.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

EKG Technician - PRN/Per Diem

Our cardiovascular services team is composed of caring individuals committed to providing the highest quality care. Join us as we add an EKG Technician to the team on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. Our EKG (or Stress Test) Tech will perform standard EKG, EEG, Holter Monitor, stress testing and non-invasive vascular procedures. You will maintain department and patient records and provide direct patient care to patients of all ages.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Interprets Rhythms and Arrhythmias.
• Reports all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff.
• Maintains Telemetry supplies and equipment.
• Records patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems.

Qualifications
