Qualifications

• Graduate of a Vocational/Technical School program for Echocardiogram Technicians.
• RVT certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Meditech knowledge is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform special non-invasive procedures and prepare results for the physician.
• Complete paperwork in the Meditech & PACS computer system.
• Maintain knowledge and skills accountability.
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations.
• Conduct special non-invasive procedures like Doppler and Stress Echo.

Job Summary

Echo Vascular Technologist - PRN/Per Diem. At HCA West Florida, we are committed to creating a world-class experience for each patient. We are currently seeking an Echocardiogram Technician (Echo Tech) on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis in our Vascular Lab.

Responsibilities

• Perform special non-invasive procedures, mount the findings, and ready the results for the physician to read
• Complete all paperwork in the Meditech & PACS computer system
• Maintain accountability for his/her own knowledge and skills, and support the philosophy, objectives and goals of the hospital
• Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to life threatening situations
• Must be able to perform special non-invasive procedures (M-Mode, 2-D, TEE, Doppler, Color-Flow, Stress Echo, Cardiac Stress, Electrocardiograms, Signal averaged Electrocardiograms and Holter Monitoring)

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Vocational/Technical School program for Echocardiogram Technicians
• RVT certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Meditech knowledge
• 1 to 3 years of experience
