Job summary

YRMC, now part of CommonSpirit Health, is hiring an EKG Tech in Prescott, AZ to perform diagnostic electrocardiograms and support cardiac diagnostics.

You will prepare patients, explain procedures, operate EKG machines, and document readings with accuracy while ensuring patient comfort and safety. AHA BLS and basic computer skills are required. Strong attention to detail and clear communication with patients and the healthcare team are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• AHA BLS.
• Six (6) months experience in a healthcare setting.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology or successful completion of medical terminology course within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs computer assisted EKGs.
• Edits EKG reports.
• Retrieves necessary equipment and supplies for patient diagnostic testing.
• Assists in patient/equipment preparation.
• Reports observed or reported alterations in the patient's condition to the RT or physician.
• Performs other clerical duties as needed.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an EKG Tech, you will perform diagnostic electrocardiograms (EKGs) to assess cardiac function.

Every day you will prepare patients, explain procedures, and accurately operate EKG machines to record heart activity, ensuring comfort and high-quality readings.

To be successful, you must demonstrate strong technical proficiency, meticulous data collection, and excellent patient communication, contributing to accurate cardiac diagnostics.

• Performs computer assisted EKG's
• Edits EKG reports
• Retrieves necessary equipment and supplies for patient diagnostic testing
• Assists in patient/equipment preparation
• Reports observed or reported alterations in the patient's condition to the RT or physician
• Performs other clerical duties as needed

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers - (AHA BLS)
• Six (6) months experience in a healthcare setting.
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology or successful completion of medical terminology course within six (6) months of hire.

Preferred

• Acute care experience with Electronic Medical Record or Cerner experience
