Job summary

Fisher Arnold is seeking a team-oriented EIT Transportation Engineer to work on transportation projects in our Tallahassee, FL office. The ideal candidate will assist with design and plans production tasks related to transportation projects.

The position focuses on learning under supervision, performing basic engineering duties, and preparing calculations while pursuing licensure as a PE and FE certification in the future.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 0-4 years of experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the future.
• Passed Fundamentals Exam (FE) or ability to achieve certification.
• Knowledge of CADD software (MicroStation/OpenRoads preferred).
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Microsoft Office applications (Excel/Word) familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, perform basic duties in support of project engineers and managers.
• Independently perform engineering assignments with clear objectives.
• Perform engineering calculations.
• Assist engineers in updates to drawings and plans in CADD software.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to obtain approvals from Florida DOT and other agencies.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Under close supervision and following specific instructions, performs basic duties in support of the project engineers and managers
• Independently perform engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives
• Perform Engineering Calculations
• Assist engineers in making updates to drawings and plans in CADD software
• Work with Project Manager in obtaining approvals from the Florida DOT and various agencies
• Other duties as assigned
