Job summary

Brookhaven National Laboratory seeks an Associate Project Manager to lead the EIC Detector Subproject, aligning scientific objectives with DOE baselines and delivering scope on time and within budget.

The role partners with the EIC Co-Associate Directors, the ePIC Collaboration and international institutions, overseeing planning, risk, interfaces, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering or related field; 10+ years in experimental nuclear or particle physics.
• At least 6 years of leadership in scientific, engineering, or multidisciplinary organizations.
• Experience managing projects under DOE Order 413.3B and multi-institution collaborations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Detector Subproject within approved scope, cost, schedule and baseline.
• Lead integrated planning, execution, installation and commissioning activities.
• Lead project risk management, interface management and contingency planning.
• Coordinate with collaboration leadership and institutional partners on deliverables and responsibilities.
