AUSTIN TRI-HAWK AUTOMOTIVE INC is seeking an EHST Manager to leader all environmental, health, safety, and training programs at the Austin, IN facility. You will partner with plant leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and drive continuous safety improvements.

Responsibilities include managing inspections, incident investigations, training, and environmental reporting while fostering a culture of safety and accountability across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive EHST/EHS experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
ISO-14001 experience and education.
Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations applicable to manufacturing operations.
Experience conducting incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
Experience in developing and delivering employee safety training.
Strong understanding of industrial safety programs and risk assessment methodologies.
Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHST programs, policies, procedures, and objectives for the manufacturing facility.
Lead the plant's safety culture and drive continuous improvement in workplace health and safety performance.
Conduct regular workplace inspections, safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analyses.
Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Establish and monitor EHST performance metrics, including incident rates, near misses, workers' compensation, corrective actions, environmental performance, and training compliance.
Serve as the primary EHST resource for employees, supervisors, managers, and leadership.
Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, state environmental and occupational safety regulations, and local requirements.
Maintain required permits, registrations, records, reports, and regulatory documentation.
Monitor changes in applicable regulations and communicate requirements to plant leadership.
Coordinate regulatory inspections and serve as the primary point of contact for applicable governmental agencies.
Ensure timely completion of required environmental reporting, including applicable air, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, and chemical reporting requirements.
Maintain environmental procedures and records necessary to support regulatory compliance and customer requirements.
