Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Technician in Alaska to support the EHS program under the direction of the EHS Manager. This role involves training, inspections, incident reporting, and collaboration with management to maintain compliance, with housing-related co-pays for on-site staff.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of EHS-related experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of Environmental Health and Safety related work experience or equivalent education.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interface with site management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic tech/equipment used in environmental inspections.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and deliver training and certification programs for compliance with regulations.
• Inspect and monitor work areas for safety and environmental compliance.
• Prepare and deliver presentations at meetings and manage documentation of incidents and corrective actions.
• Respond to emergencies involving pollution or safety incidents and support RTW processes.
• Assist with OSHA VPP preparation and liaison with contractors and regulatory personnel.
