Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Technician to support the company’s safety program and ensure regulatory compliance in Alaska operations. You will plan and deliver training, monitor equipment, and assist with incident investigations.

The role requires strong collaboration, analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic, safety‑driven environment. Alaska housing options are available with certain terms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year EHS experience or equivalent education.
• Strong collaboration, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with site management.
• Results-oriented with ability to drive continuous safety improvements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Plans and delivers EHS training and certifications for compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Tracks training and certification information per protocol.
• Organizes and attends Environmental and/or Safety Committee meetings.
• Prepares and delivers presentations at meetings.
• Inspects equipment, work areas, and procedures for compliance with EHS rules.
• Responds to emergencies involving pollution and incidents.
• Develops and distributes monthly safety tips to employees.
• Develops procedures for testing safety systems and ensures documentation.
