Job summary

Trident Seafoods seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Technician to support its EH&S program in Alaska. The role reports to the EHS Manager or lead and includes coordinating training, tracking certifications, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

Responsibilities include incident response, safety communications, and supporting continuous improvement in the safety program, including RTW coordination and participation in management meetings.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED with 1 year EHS-related work experience or equivalent education.
• Strong written and verbal communication; interface with site management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver training and certification programs for compliance with regulations.
• Track and maintain training and certification information.
• Organize Environmental/Safety Committee meetings and present at meetings.
• Inspect equipment and work areas for compliance with EH&S rules.
• Respond to environmental incidents and emergencies.
• Develop and distribute monthly safety tips to employees.
• Test safety systems and document results; evaluate findings for compliance.
