Job summary

Fuyao in Moraine, OH is seeking a safety-focused EHS professional to lead the plant's safety program, ensure a safe working environment, and work with the EH&S leadership to strengthen systems.

Responsibilities include evaluating the work environment, implementing PPE and safety programs, leading contractor safety, and guiding incident investigations; the role requires knowledge of OSHA and ISO standards and strong communication in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a safety-related field is preferred.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing and EHS management required.
• Auditing, OSHA/OSHA logs and ISO standards knowledge is essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; Mandarin helpful for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the work environment to establish safe practices and prevent injuries.
• Design and implement safety programs including PPE, hearing protection, noise mapping, LOTO, confined space, heat stress, and electrical safety.
• Provide safety direction to on-site contractors ensuring compliance with FGA safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct accident investigations promptly (within 24 hours) and document interviews and findings.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions; update injury statistics and reports to EH&S leadership.
• Establish a culture of safety and train personnel; support ISO 45001 efforts and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in resolving safety issues to aid production and maintenance goals.
