Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Griffin, GA is seeking an EHS Specialist to support safety, health, and environmental programs at our facility. You will monitor processes, promote sustainability, conduct EHS training, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards while supporting lean improvements.

You will collaborate with teams to reduce risk, perform audits, and assist in the development and rollout of safety initiatives. This role requires EHS credentials and 2+ years of industrial experience.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 General Industry certification required or willing to obtain.
• Over 2 years’ experience in industrial manufacturing or warehousing.
• General computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Understand OSHA, RCRA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, EPA regulations.
• Skilled in root cause analysis and lean thinking.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
• Sustainability awareness promotion and activities.
• EHS training, promotion, and communication to improve employee's awareness and competence.
• Contribute to development, implementation, and compliance with EHS policies & regulations.
• EHS related Regulatory collection, evaluation, and communication.
• Conduct EHS Audits (e.g. LOTO, Fall Protection, Powered Industrial Trucks, etc.) Activities & culture promotion.
• Assist with EHS recognition program.
• Work with and assist in any CAT training of new hires or other.
• Participate in EHS Lean projects and continual improvement.
• Other EHS related works assigned.
