Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring an EHS Technician I at our Houston, TX site to support workplace safety and environmental programs. Base pay starts at $21.00 per hour, with guidance to ensure OSHA/EPA compliance and continuous improvement.

The role involves inspections, data collection, incident support, basic safety training, and coordination of PPE procurement, contributing to a safe, sustainable manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of OSHA safety standards and workplace safety practices.
• Ability to use computers, including MS Office suite, ERP for procurement and other EHS specific software.
• Ability to identify hazards and recognize unsafe conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring adherence to OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety and environmental regulations.
• Support routine workplace inspections and hazard assessments to identify potential risks.
• Collect and report basic safety metrics to stakeholders.
• Assist with incident investigations, documenting findings and corrective actions.
• Help coordinate and deliver basic safety training, including new hire orientation.
