Job summary

Total Safety is seeking an EHS Technician to join its safety-conscious team in Baytown, TX. The role emphasizes industrial hygiene field investigations, exposure monitoring for hydrocarbons and particulates, noise dosimetry, and IAQ tasks, with hands-on testing equipment and data compilation.

You will learn and perform site inspections, operate and maintain field instruments, and prepare samples and reports.

Qualifications

• Prefer training in asbestos, lead, or mold.
• Proficiency in PPE use and safety equipment; trained and fit-tested for respirators.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and other EHS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Learns to conduct industrial hygiene surveys: air, noise, IAQ, illumination, ventilation.
• Learns to operate, calibrate, and maintain sampling pumps, calibrators, dosimeters, and meters.
• Learns to conduct safety inspections at client sites.
• Collect notes and maintain daily project activity logs.
• Prepare data sheets, IH calculations, and chain of custody for labs.
• Enter field data into MedGate and create data tables/reports.
