Job summary

Divergent in Torrance, CA is seeking an EHS Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will ensure safe handling of regulated wastes and maintain environmental stewardship while keeping high-precision processes running smoothly.

You will conduct safety inspections, support industrial hygiene programs, and collaborate across functions to meet RCRA/OSHA requirements. This role requires forklift operation, PPE use, and clear data logging.

Qualifications

Access to information subject to US export controls.
At least 1 year handling regulated wastes.
Experience with chemical segregation (flammables, corrosives, reactive materials).
Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
Wear PPE including respiratory protection and FR uniform.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet EHS requirements.
Log environmental/compliance data and corrective actions clearly.
Knowledge of RCRA/40 CFR and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.
Experience with lockout/tagout and fall protection.

Responsibilities

Regulated waste handling from cradle-to-grave per federal/state/local rules.
Conduct occupational safety inspections and interventions.
Implement industrial hygiene measures like exposure controls, noise monitoring, respirator programs.
