Job summary

BEA America is seeking an EHS Coordinator to lead hazard identification, compliance, incident investigations, and continuous improvement across departments. You will drive safety, environmental performance, and carbon-reduction initiatives with Operations, Quality, and HR.

The role requires engaging training and audits, maintaining records, and aligning with OSHA, EPA, and local requirements while pursuing ISO14001/45001 readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, or operational settings.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, state, and local EHS requirements required.
• Familiar with ISO 14001/45001 or similar systems preferred.
• Experience leading audits, inspections, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-up.
• OSHA 30-Hour and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications preferred; ASP, CSP, CHMM, or similar certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and audits; identify hazards and track corrective actions to completion.
• Implements and maintains the risk analysis of all work centers & workplaces.
• Defines and formalizes health and safety and environmental procedures.
• Trains staff on health, safety and environmental aspects.
• Investigates incidents, near misses, injuries, and environmental concerns; documents findings, implements corrective & preventive actions and escalates significant issues as needed.
• Monitors and follow the progress of remedial, corrective and improvement actions relating to EHS.
• Maintains EHS records, metrics, permits, training records, OSHA logs, and regulatory submissions; communicates trends and concerns to management.
• Ensures that H&S and environmental regulatory monitoring is kept up to date and that the relevant compliance requirements are met.
