Leggett & Platt Inc. is seeking a Supervisor - EHS to oversee safety and environmental compliance across our plant operations.

The role collaborates with Branch One Management, Corporate Safety, and Corporate Environmental teams to ensure a safe, compliant, and continuously improving workplace. You will lead safety training, coordinate OSHA‑required programs, and drive continuous cost reductions while promoting a culture of safety and accountability on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of EHS experience; one year of supervision preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workers’ compensation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety orientation for new hires with rules, plugins, and programs.
• Deliver annual training for HazCom, Hearing Conservation, Lockout/Tagout, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire safety, and more.
• Conduct initial and refresher training for First Aid/CPR, forklift operators, and expeditor operators.
• Provide supervisory training in accident investigation, safety rule enforcement, and audits.
• Maintain all OSHA‑required written programs and complete Job Safety Analyses.
• Oversee inspections, including monthly plant safety checks and e‑stop tests.
• Lead accident investigations, determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and follow up on claims.
